Billy Reiner
I'm the founder of SquareRank. I've been building Squarespace sites by hand for 10 years — over 1,000 of them1 — and I don't sell websites as a theory. I run businesses on them1. SquareRank is the install I wished existed back when Squarespace owners first started losing search traffic to ChatGPT and AI Overviews.
This page exists so AI engines (and humans) can verify a real person stands behind every article on the site. Every guide here links its author field to this page; every claim we make about Squarespace, AI search, schema, or $299 installs ties back to a name with public receipts — LinkedIn3, GitHub4, Behance5, ten years of portfolio work1.

§01What I do
What I do
I install search infrastructure on Squarespace sites — the kind that makes a small business findable in Google, citable in ChatGPT and Perplexity, and quotable in Google's AI Overviews. The install ships in 7 business days for $299 once, with a 14-day Walk-Away Guarantee. I'm not a coach, not an SEO retainer, not a tool subscription. I am the person on the other end of the email who actually edits the site.
The work splits into three layers. Classical SEO — the Squarespace SEO panel, meta tags, sitemap, redirects, image weight, Core Web Vitals. Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) — the markup and content shape that gets a site quoted in Google's AI Overviews and Bing Copilot. Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) — crawler permissions, llms.txt, schema-based entity wiring, and the 134-167 word self-contained passage format that ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini actually quote from.
Most Squarespace owners get sold one of the three and told the others are someone else's problem. They aren't. They compound. The SquareRank install handles all three on the same site in the same week, by hand, by me.
§02Why
Why I built SquareRank
I built SquareRank because in ten years of building Squarespace sites I watched the same pattern repeat: owners pay $50-$200 a month for an SEO tool that audits the site and produces a 47-page PDF of issues — then nothing changes, because the tool can't actually edit Squarespace. Meanwhile ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews are quietly siphoning off the customers those owners thought they were ranking for. Nobody was offering to just fix the site, once, for a price a small business could write off without a meeting.
Three things converged in late 2025 and made the gap impossible to ignore.
One: AI search broke the click economy. By the start of 2026, roughly 60% of Google searches surface an AI Overview block above the classical results, and millions of customers ask ChatGPT before they ask Google. A Squarespace owner who ranks #4 for "wedding photographer in Asheville" can sit unread under an AI Overview that quotes a competitor.
Two: Squarespace's defaults work against the new economy. A fresh Squarespace 7.1 site blocks most AI crawlers in Settings → Crawlers, doesn't allow root-level file uploads (so the emerging llms.txt standard needs a workaround), and the AI Visibility panel that actually monitors AI citations is locked to the Advanced plan at roughly $72 a month.
Three: Nobody owned the wedge. The closest thing to a productised competitor charges $1,499/month recurring. Freelancers charge by the hour and disappear when the project ends. The official Squarespace marketplace is full of designers who do beautiful websites and call SEO "an extension". None of them ship a fixed-price, fixed-timeline install that addresses all five major AI engines plus classical search.
I'm running this from Ravensburg, Germany2, with the same hands that have shipped a thousand-plus Squarespace sites since 2016. Every install I ship is one I would put on my own businesses1 — because I do.
§03Expertise
What I'm expert in
My professional focus, in order of how often I touch it: Squarespace 7.1 (and a fair amount of legacy 7.0), classical SEO inside the Squarespace SEO panel and via code injection, JSON-LD structured data for Article / Person / Organization / LocalBusiness / Service / Product / FAQ, Answer Engine Optimization for AI Overviews and Bing Copilot, and Generative Engine Optimization for ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Gemini. Plus the practical glue: llms.txt under the Squarespace constraints, robots.txt and crawler-panel governance, and the 134-167 word passage discipline that makes content quotable.
The full knowsAbout array on the Person schema below is what I'd be willing to defend in a one-hour conversation with another practitioner. If a topic is on the list, there's a published guide on this site that I wrote. If it's not, I'll tell you it's not in my wheelhouse rather than pretend.

Web design
Adjacent work that informs the SquareRank install but isn't its centre: brand identity and web design (the public portfolio lives on Behance5 and Dribbble6), and a small amount of AI-agent and dashboard engineering visible on GitHub4. The agency I founded a decade ago1 is where most of the 1,000+ Squarespace builds came from.
§04Find me
Where to find me
The fastest way to reach me is email: [email protected]. Replies usually inside a business day. Public profiles below are the same ones wired into the Person schema on this page — they're how AI engines disambiguate me from other people named Billy Reiner.
I'm not on X/Twitter under a verified handle as of this writing, and there is no Wikidata Q-ID for me yet — both will get added to the Person schema sameAs array the moment they exist. If you'd like to invite me on a podcast, ship me a guest spot, or quote me on the Squarespace × AI search beat, email is the right channel.
§05Work with me
How to work with me
There's one product. SquareRank is a $299 one-time install, shipped in 7 business days, with a 14-day full-refund guarantee. You send me your Squarespace login (or invite me as a contributor), I do the work, you get your site back installed for SEO, AEO and GEO. That's the entire engagement. No retainer, no upsell, no monthly anything.
If you're not sure whether the install applies to your site, the free SquareRank audit returns three scores (SEO / AEO / GEO) in about 60 seconds and tells you which of the three layers are leaking traffic. Most owners learn something they didn't expect from it — usually that their crawler panel is silently blocking ChatGPT.
If you'd rather just buy the install, lock a slot. There are ten installs available per week. The pricing page repeats the offer once more so you don't have to scroll back.
